Define U is a highly engaging life and leadership skills program that allows students to gain skills necessary for academic achievement, personal accountability and goal setting. Define U can be an alternative assessment opportunity to help students:

The 16 hour carefully designed curriculum covers skill development sessions in effective communication, time management, problem solving, goal setting, and motivation. The anticipatory sets allows educators the opportunity to engage with their learners. The program is targeted for high school and middle school students.
1. The Define U program can be implemented by different types of middle school and secondary schools. Public and private schools find it a useful program to help build responsible, self motivated students, a stronger school community, and to promote positive learning environments. Charter schools including virtual charter schools have found it particularly beneficial in developing and retaining their students.
2. The Define U Program can be implemented in several ways. It can be customized to fit a school's schedule either through weekly half our or hour sessions, daylong enrichment programs, year round learning implementation (summer program) or as a semester long program.
3. Due to the interative sesions, students are able to form an even stronger positive relationship with their teachers and counselors. This not only allows for a path of greater academic ahievement but also a stronger sense of a school community as well.
4. Greater use of the educator's time as it gives them an opportunity to engage with their students in a positive and involved program. It allows a relationship to develop at a greater pace than many otherwise have taken months to build through traditional channels.
About the Define U Team and Program Development
Define U was developed by a team of education experts with decades of experience in the education and leadership development fields. Define U was started as a program of Learning to Lead, a national non profit organization that has trained thousands of students and educators in key life and leadership skills over the years.
The success of Define U as a high school retention and graduation success rate program grew significantly and is now a partner program of Learning to Lead.
We look forward to working with your school to see how best implement the Define U program to move your students foward in reaching their goals. To learn more, please call Beth Mooney, Program Director at 484-880-1458 or email info@defineuonline.com
